MiAi is a personal AI companion Android app operated from Utah, United States, with website https://miaiapp.ai. Contact: [email protected].

This policy covers the MiAi Android app and the miaiapp.ai website.

• Your chats and memories are stored on your phone.
• MiAi uses biometric or device PIN unlock and encrypted on-device storage.
• If you use a free trial or paid plan, some content is sent through MiAi's hosted service to AI providers so MiAi can reply and provide speech/image features.
• You can delete your data in the app (Settings → Delete all my data). Email is only for help.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use your chats or memories for advertising.

The following typically stay on your device and are encrypted where the app provides encryption:

• Chat sessions and messages
• Memories/notes and related metadata
• Photos/images created or attached in chat (app storage; optional save to your gallery only if you choose Save)
• Voice recordings you start for Memories
• App settings (for example companion voice and translate language preferences)
• Optional API keys you paste (encrypted on device)
• A random device identifier used to authenticate the app to our hosted proxy
• Local trial/subscription entitlement state needed to unlock features
• Encrypted backup files only if you create them; those files are saved where you choose and are not uploaded by MiAi

When you are on a free trial or paid subscription, the app may send the following to MiAi's hosted service to generate responses:

• Chat text and relevant memory snippets used to personalize replies
• Speech audio for speech-to-text (Talk, Record Conversation, voice notes)
• Text for text-to-speech when Talk / hosted voice is used
• Photo bytes for photo analysis (Take Picture to Analyze) and image create/edit
• Image edit prompts
• Device auth token / device ID for proxy authorization

These requests go to MiAi's hosted proxy and then to AI model providers (for example xAI and/or OpenAI depending on the feature) to generate a response. Providers process that content to return results and have their own privacy practices.

Your chats, memories, and photos are stored encrypted on your device. Hosted AI is used only while you are on a free trial or active subscription (or if you add your own API key in Settings).

Optional advanced mode: if you add your own API key, that key stays on your phone and is sent only to the provider you chose.

The website may process standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited through normal hosting logs. We prefer minimal tracking. If any cookies or analytics are present on the site, they are disclosed honestly.

• Microphone: Talk, Live Translate, and voice/listening sessions you start
• Camera: Used when you choose Take Picture to Analyze (and related photo features you start). MiAi does not access the camera in the background.
• Biometric / device credential: unlock the app
• Notifications: show an active listening session
• Network access: AI features and subscription checks

Android Auto Backup for MiAi app data is disabled. You may export an encrypted backup file protected by a passphrase you choose. Anyone with that file and passphrase can restore the contents. If you lose the passphrase, the backup cannot be opened. Restoring replaces chats and memories on that phone. MiAi does not keep a copy of your backup file.

• Provide and secure the app and website
• Generate AI replies and related features you request
• Verify trial/subscription access via Google Play entitlements
• Respond to support emails you send

We do not sell personal information and do not use chat/memory content for advertising.

Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Google Play. We receive entitlement information needed to unlock paid features. Manage or cancel billing in Google Play.

• On-device data remains until you delete chats/memories, use Delete all my data, uninstall the app, or clear app storage
• Support emails are kept only as long as needed to respond
• The hosted proxy is used to generate responses and is not offered as a permanent cloud archive of your data. Model providers may have their own logs/retention under their policies.

Primary method — no email required:

1. Open MiAi on your Android phone and unlock it
2. Go to Settings → Delete all my data
3. Confirm

This permanently removes chats, memories, chat photos, saved API keys, and local MiAi settings from that phone.

• You can also delete individual chats from Chat history.
• Uninstalling MiAi or clearing the app's storage in Android Settings also removes local app data.
• Encrypted backup files you saved outside the app must be deleted by you.
• Deleting app data does not cancel a Google Play subscription; cancel in Google Play if needed.

MiAi is for users 18 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information, contact [email protected].

Processing may occur in the United States or other countries where our hosting and AI providers operate.
